This Cookie Policy is intended to describe how omnimedica uses cookies and similar technologies to collect and use the personal data of the Data Subjects as part of its Services, as defined in the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

A cookie is a small file placed on the Data Subject’s device that enables use of the Services. Any device used to access omnimedica may receive cookies from the Company or from third parties, such as partners and/or service providers (hereinafter referred to as “Partners“). Cookies may also be placed in your browser when accessing third party websites that display advertisements or host plug-ins or omnimedica tagging.

The Company has the legal right to store cookies on devices if this is strictly necessary for the operation of omnimedica. For all other types of cookies, the permission of the data subject is required.

Omnimedica relies on two types of cookies: persistent cookies and session cookies. A persistent cookie lasts beyond the current session and is used for several purposes, such as recognition of an existing data subject for easier access and authentication on omnimedica. A persistent cookie remains on your device so that it will be read by omnimedica when you re-access or visit a third party website using the Services. Session cookies only last for the duration of the session (e.g. current visit to a website).

Omnimedica may also use other technologies similar to cookies, such as:

1. Pixels – a tiny image that can be embedded in web pages and emails, requiring a call (providing device and visit information) to omnimedica‘s servers for the pixel to be rendered in those web pages and emails. Pixels are used to learn more about interactions with email content or web content, such as advertisements or posts. Pixels may also allow the Company and its partners to place cookies in your browser.

2. Local storage – allows the app to store information locally on your device. Local storage can be used to improve the Service, for example, by enabling features, remembering preferences and speeding up functionality.

Omnimedica may use cookies for the following application areas:

1. Authentication – Cookies may be used to recognize a data subject when accessing omnimedica and may also help display accurate information and personalize the experience according to the settings selected by each data subject.

2. Security – Cookies may be used to ensure that interactions with omnimedica are faster, more secure and to help the company detect malicious activity and violations of the Terms of Service.

3. Application Preferences – Cookies may be used to enable the functionality of the Services, to provide personalized content and to remember browser and preference information.

4. Omnimedica Enhancement – Cookies may be used to enhance the omnimedica experience and Services.

5. Plugins – Cookies may be used to enable plugins both on and off omnimedica. Plugins can be found on omnimedica or on the websites of their partners. By interacting with a plugin, they will use cookies to identify the data subject and to initiate their request.

6. Advertising – Cookies may be used to help the Company deliver relevant advertising, both on and off omnimedica, measure the performance of these advertisements and report on it. Cookies may be used to track whether content has been displayed or whether a Data Subject to whom an advertisement has been shown has subsequently returned and taken an action (e.g. made a purchase) on another site. Partners may use cookies to determine whether the Company has displayed an advertisement or posting and how it has performed or to provide the Company with information about how Data Subjects interact with advertisements. The Company may work with their Partners to display advertisements both on and off omnimedica (for example, after visiting a Partner’s website or application).

7. Research and Analysis – Cookies may be used by the Company or their Partners to learn more about how omnimedica operates in different locations. Cookies may be used to understand, improve and research the Services, including access and browsing behaviors across different sites, applications or devices. Cookies may be used to determine and measure the performance of advertisements or postings on and off omnimedica. When a Data Subject logs out of their account on a browser, omnimedica may continue to record their interaction with omnimedica on that device for up to 30 days to generate usage analytics. This data may be shared in aggregate form with Partners.

Data Subjects can choose how omnimedica uses cookies, but this may limit omnimedica’s ability to use cookies, so it may worsen the overall experience as it may not be as personalized and may also disable the ability to save personalized settings such as login information.

Most devices allow control of cookies through settings, which can be tailored to reflect each data subject’s consent to the use of cookies. Most devices also allow data subjects to review and delete cookies, including omnimedica cookies. More information on device control can be found on the manufacturer’s website.

The company may allow data subjects to reject the use of certain cookies for purposes such as advertising and analytics and research by accessing the cookie settings, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent prior to withdrawal thereof. Such settings can be changed at any time by accessing the specific section on omnimedica or from device settings.
